Learn the basics

Follow this step-by-step instruction to create your first pattern in PhotoPearls.

Step 1. New / Open

  1. To start a new bead project, click on the button ”Create new”

Step 2. Select photo

  1. Click the button ”Select Photo” to select photo for your project.
  2. Click the arrow button in the lower right corner to get to the next step.

Step 3. Select photo

  1. Select the desired size of the project by clicking on any of the preset sizes:
    • 1 pegboard,
    • 4 pegboards
    • 6 pegboards portrait
    • 6 pegboards landscape
  2. If you want to make a custom size project, change the fields width and height to your desired size.
  3. Click the arrow button in the lower right corner to get to the next step.

step 4. Select area

  1. Determine the size of the cropping area by changing the percentage.
  2. Move the selection field with the mouse cursor to select the desired area of the image.
  3. Click the arrow button in the lower right corner to get to the next step.

Step 5. Pearlify

  1. Select the desired color palette from the dropdown menu
  2. Remove unwanted colors by unchecking color number, each time you make a change you need to click on the button described in Step 4.
  3. Adjust brightness and contrast to improve the result, each time you must click on the button described in Step 4.
  4. Click the following button to generate the beaded image.
  5. When you are satisfied with the result, click the arrow button in the lower right corner to get to the next step.

Step 6. Edit

  1. Select the desired color for drawing, adding or removing beads by hand in your project
  2. Click the button Undo to remove your last action.
  3. Click the arrow button in the lower right corner to get to the next step.

Step 7. Print / Save

    1. Click the button Save bead pattern for saving your project.
    2.  Click the button Print bead pattern for print your project.
    1. Click  the button Print info to print information about the beads patterns.
    2. Click ”Save” to save your bead pattern.
